It is a spectacular spot surrounded by amazing mountainous forest views of Kigezi and Virunga Mountains in a distance, plus the breathtaking sights of foggy Bwindi Forest, home of the biggest population of mountain gorillas in the world. Occasionally, the majestic apes can be sighted along the forest edges just close to our lodge. Mashoho River can be sighted just below the lodge and its soothing sound bless your nights.
The lodge is situated on an expansive piece of property that Rtd. Bishop Enoch Kayeeye bought way back in 1964, and this land was formally occupied by immigrants. Majority of the area’s natural surroundings and huge eucalyptus trees were preserved by the bishop who maintained the land till 2017 when the lodge was set up.
Located in Kisoro District, this eco-friendly and budget lodge in Bwindi impenetrable national park is one of the closest to Rushaga gorilla sector in the southern part of Bwindi Forest, about 10km from Nyanamo Trading Center.
